Hi everyone, I'm still here, just haven't been able to get down since Newmarket for various reasons.
I'm now storing my cars inside and have a problem - both are empty of fuel and the Leopard stinks the place out (well, the cupboard in the hall anyway), yet the Baja is sitting in the lounge totally un-smelly.
I've washed the leopard tank tonight and given it a good scrub outside and it seems to be that fuel has impregnated the actual plastic as it still smells on the outside.
The Baja fuel tank is newer and cleaner, so I was thinking of getting a new leopard fuel tank.
Anyone any other ideas? Be nice to get rid of the smell. I know Pete keeps his all in the caravan, so it must be something to do with the tank on the leopard as the car without the tank isn't smelly.
Anyone any other suggestions?
Pete

Probably due to the Leopard having the vented tank, still have some fuel in the carb? otherwise I have no idea....

The tank's bone dry at the moment, I washed it. It still smells, and I think its actually impregnated into the plastic on the outside.
I've ordered a new tank anyway, as it would be nice if it didn't smell. Bought a pump to pump the fuel out too!
