Hi, I came down to the track last Sunday (6th july) to look around and I think mick said something about the club only having the field until october when you have to pay for the next year, but if the farmer puts the price again you will have to find somewhere else. When are you likely to know if you will have the field for the year after as well because i don't want to spend a lot of money on a car to have no track or club to run it at in the future.
Thanks
Jamie

Hi Jamie Welcome to the forum... The situation is that if we get enough members paying the yearly membership it will cover the cost of the rent. We used to pay £100 a year each membership but I reduced it to £50 thinking it would attract more members, it didn't work. We could do with some sort of sponsorship. I have no way of telling what the land owner is going to ask for this year.

They do look like 'clones' but me personally, would steer clear as parts are probably hard to get hold of. Might have to wait for them to be sent from China or somewhere. As for the HPI Baja's, we have had some on the track but they are more suited to sand. Trying to get them to go round our track as quick as a Marder near impossible without adding some weight to the front end. Also the stones ripped the thin tyres quite quickly. Value for money you can't beat a little Marder, only a few alloy modifications need doing as certain parts fail but we would be able to show you what needs to be done. You can pick up second hand ones quite cheap even if they have been well warn, normally the parts that need changing anyway. Come and see us again this weekend and ask some questions.

If we go down next weekend Dan will be there with his Elcon Leopard and maybe Pete with his standard Leopard so you can see for yourself...

hi again, i bought a rtr fg leopard of ebay today for £400, it's race spec with alloy shocks and a few other bits and bobs, looked like a good deal to me. What time will you be down at the track tomorrow (assuming the weather's ok)?
